A few of the newscasts I produced at Cronkite News in 2025.

Carlisa Poirier Reel

News producer reel for journalist Carlisa Poirier, who is set to graduate in May 2026 from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. This reel features an A-block segment from a Rocky Mountain Student Production Award-winning newscast, along with headlines, teases, kickers, and VOSOTs that she produced while working as a Broadcast Producer at Cronkite News from January to December 2025.

A Shifting Landscape

A special edition of Cronkite News, that looks into how the Trump administration's policies in their first 100 days have impacted Arizonans- from volunteers helping immigrants at the border, to the cost of wine amid a tariff war, and operations at the many National Parks in our state amongst mass federal budget cuts.

Mourners gather to remember late Congressman Raúl Grijalva, plus how the Trump administration's federal budget cuts could impact Arizona students who rely on free school lunches, and coverage of the measles outbreak in west Texas.  ​​​​​

Nominated for the 2025  Rocky Mountain Student Production Award in the category of College Newscast.

September 11, 2025

Mourners visit a growing memorial outside Phoenix's Turning Point USA headquarters, the organization co-founded by Charlie Kirk, plus Tempe honors those killed in the 9/11 attacks on the 24th anniversary of the tragedy.

February 24, 2025

A bill that could end DEI initiatives at universities passes  thru the Arizona House of Representatives, short-term rentals are negatively impacting local communities,  and Maricopa County sees a soaring rise  in flu cases.
